FINDS: Get Britain Trading

Today sees the launch of the Get Britain Trading campaign by the Forum of Private Business, an event I have been invited to attend because of everything we do here at UK Handmade and our Buy Handmade campaign, and I am very pleased and honoured to have been asked! Not least because it is being held at the House of Commons with Minister of State for Business and Enterprise, Mark Prisk. To celebrate, today's finds are all flying the British flag and if you tweet today please don't forget to use the #britaintrading tag as well as our own #buyhandmade one.

Getting Britain Trading Handmade

That's fantastic news Karen - well done. We need more people to push small-scale UK designers and makers. I'm sure that in a decade's time some of the people here that have started trading handmade because of the economic crisis and/or personal reasons will be big players in the future. Many of us bring business and design skills from other markets and those will bring us success in time. That's what I'm hoping will happen for me anyway! http://theescapedarchitect.blogspot.com
